Oh How I <3 Urban Decay!!! These first 3 pictures above are from my work makeup and the 2 below are from New Years Eve makeup! All eye shadows are Urban Decay as well as the eyeliner!! Urban Decay is a bit pricey but so worth it! The primer, the shadows, the eyeliner, even the lip gloss all rocks! I recently purchased something other than eyeliner for the first time from Urban Decay and I have completely fallen in love! There makeup stays on forever plus it is highly pigmented and just beautiful! The colors are vibrant and fun !! I recently purchased 2 pallets the fun pallet and the roller girl pallet online and i just adore them both! The hot pink below is Woodstock which is for sure my favorite especially since I love hot pink! If you have not tried them out I recommend you do you will not be disappointed!www.urbandecay.com Worth every penny! Only other eyeliner that comes close to comparing is Milani eyeliner liquif eye metallic eyeliner pencil. I normally purchase through www.cherryculture.com. Also where I find awesome deals on NYX products! To me nothing makes me more happy than new makeup or a new pair of shoes!

I love wine and found some new ones I LOVE!!!

There are a few things in life that I personally love to drink and WINE is one of them. I prefer a sweet wine a moscato or a Riesling. Recently I have discovered a love for the Barefoot Sweet Red wine which is a blended red wine which you serve chilled. It is not dry like most red wines and not as sweet as a moscato. I have been on this barefoot sweet red for a couple of weeks now when I went to the store and they were officially out. I was immediately not happy with the outcome and could have easily picked a Moscato or a Riesling but my heart was set on my sweet red. I found a Red Moscato and although I had never tried I figured it was worth a shot. Beringer isn't a brand I typically like however much to my surprise it was quiet delicious and I will be buying again. In comparison I'm not sure which one I prefer the Red Moscato is definitely sweeter but the sweet red is still a winner with me! If you are a fan of a sweet wine I highly recommend both wines and will be buying them both again!

DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!

This post is in honor of everyone I might have judged before I really knew them.
First of all I'll give you a little history I work 2 jobs and my part time weekend job at the Hilton (I used to be full time while I was in college). Now I just work on the weekends there and I must admit that they have a HUGE turnover rate. I know it is a front line job so it is difficult to keep people especially because most are college students and graduate and move on. However, it is hard to constantly have new people you work with every weekend and even harder to try to get to know them on a personal level. I have been recently lucky that the group of coworkers at the hotel front desk now has been kind of steady and I have been able to get to know my coworkers on a personal level and consider them friends. On of my coworkers in formed me this past weekend that my first impression I gave off was a little RUDE (which I do appreciate the honesty dispite how it may have hurt my feelings) . I guess the way I have felt for so long there is that once I have been there since 2005 even if I'm only part time now ! I know all the managers well I take care of my job and at the end of the day I do my best. So maybe I am a little cocky because I have been there a while and feel I could do the job with my eyes closed. But it did make me take a step back and really look at myself and my attitude. I know I am an extremely loving person and wonderful friend but I guess I need to make sure my attitude matches that especially with first impressions!  It was good to be reminded that you only have 1 shot at making a first impression! So I am very thankful for my hotel coworkers for remidning me not to judge a book by its cover ! To my hotel coworkers THANK YOU for opening my eyes and reminding me of this I'm glad I can now call you my friend!

So its 2012 where do you even meet single people?

OK so this post is my thoughts for my friends and family who are single and having a hard time meeting people not for myself. Thankfully I am in a wonderful relationship with the love of my life so I am not facing this problem. However it has occurred to me recently Where do you even meet single people these days? I mean you don't want to meet someone at a bar..... except maybe that rare occasion when you actually meet a decent person at one.... which is normally short lived. Or meet someone from a friend or coworker. I recently polled some of my friends to see how they met there significant others and this is what I discovered most met at work, from a friend,  at college or online. I know ONLINE right but its 2012 and I met my boyfriend online back in 2008. To me it was a great way to really talk before meeting see if we were even compatible. Meet in a public place have a drink , dinner, or just talk. My mom has been doing her fair share of research lately and she  thought supper club, or co-ed sports which I agree but we are in Lafayette, LA our options are limited.  Then its like maybe you just want some friends to hang out with when all your other married or other friends  who are in serious relationships are to busy. So i pose the question to any of my readers where do you meet someone in 2012 ? Are you a believer of the online dating world?

OH.... the offshore life!

Well this subject of the offshore life is a little bitter sweet for me personally. My boyfriend the love of my life works offshore which means hes away way more than I  would ever like him to be. Lets go back in time when I was in high school and college I used to always say I will NEVER date a guy who worked offshore. I watched my friends who did it and the stress that they went through was just too much for me. Think about it for a second it is like you only get that person 1/2 the time and that's if you are lucky. ( Some of you may think this sounds wonderful but trust me its not!) Well God has a sense of humor as my mom would say ... Who did I fall in love with but a guy who works offshore. Not only does he work offshore but he is currently on call 24/7.

Right now what we are currently facing as a couple is he is overseas in another country working. This recently happened and even though I knew for about a month now that is was going to happen at some point does not make accepting it any easier. As anyone who has ever been in a relationship you know there are times you just got to be strong suck it up and smile. Getting upset doesn't help either one of you and it sure doesn't change whats bound to happen so you smile and look for all the positive aspects of the offshore world that I have become unwillingly a part of. So on that note below is my top 5 pros and cons of working offshore.

PRO
1. I live in south Louisiana and offshore jobs are good jobs
2. Growth potential
3. Job Security
4.  Good Money
5. Beautiful Sunsets ( like the picture above)

CONS
1. Being away
2. On call 24/7
3. Holidays away
4. Safety
5. Stressful job

( ha ha if you actually thought I would ever say her age!) She will always be 21! She is one of the most driven people I know . She puts her mind to it and its done and done amazingly! She is a blast to be around and is always smiling. She has a big heart for the ones shes loves ( dispite her lack of emotions sometimes :D) But I love her just the way she is ! Bubble Bath Nails by OPI

Well as most of you may know I am attracted to BRIGHT colors! I love Hot Pink and I'm just drawn to bright colors regardless if it is clothes, shoes, makeup, and even ink pens! To me, they are a good symbol of my personality. Fun , loud, bright, and unique! So I choose to opt for a change this week and choose a pale pink called Bubble Bath by OPI. The names of nail polish and makeup always brings a smile to my face. I must admit I am quiet impressed the color is almost nude but not quite. It is very professional and much calmer than my normal shades so I figured I'd share. What are your thoughts on Bubble Bath? Whats your favorite shade of nail polish?

My inspirtation....KANDEE JOHNSON!

Well hello.... and Welcome! This is my first blog post and I only felt fitting that I dedicate it to the person who inspired me to create a blog, www.kandeej.com KANDEE JOHNSON! For anyone who is not familiar with her blog click the link you won't be disappointed! I only began reading her blog about 6 months ago however I have officially become obsessed!! I check her site everyday for new posts! She is the most uplifting and happy person. I feel I know her personally and I even refer to her as "my girl Kandee" when making references. (My little sister pointed that out to me during Christmas!) Kandee has inspired me to create a blog mostly about my life. She has helped me rediscover my LOVE of makeup. I have always LOVED makeup but there were times my passion was stronger than others and we are officially back up to 150% excited about makeup. (I personally rather loose sleep so I can do my makeup every morning and that's dedication.) She has also helped remind me to stay happy, know that you are loved , and SHE MAKES ME LAUGH !!! Her YouTube videos are hilarious and you really feel connected with her simply through video and words. So Kandee Johnson from the bottom of my heart thank you for inspiring me, making my days brighter, and helping me stay positive! You are truly my inspiration for Ma Belle Vie.
