Baby Shower pictures!

Where do I even begin..... first My Best Friend Ashley's baby shower was this weekend. I helped host with her sister Nicole and Nanny Myra! WE choose the theme Noah's Ark because we do not know the sex of the baby! So I made her a diaper cake and her corsage which are the pictures above! The picture below is of the real cake. The shower went well however we had a lot of plan B's ! First it began Friday the weather called for 100% rain for Saturday. Once i heard this I immediately began to worry because if you have ever flown into Lafayette the planes are super small look like crop planes and poor Ashley couldn't even have a COCKTAIL to relax....( I think we all had a few for her!) Well there flight got out at 3pm which was um 6 hours or so late so the shower occurred at 6:30pm..... but overall it went pretty well! Like i said we hit a lot of plan B's or like Mrs. Gayle said we are like on Plan H . The bottom line was that Ashley felt special, loved, and happy! So despite all the crazy events that occurred the shower was a success! :)

Also the picture at the very bottom is of the love of my life and this old lady he takes a picture with every year at St. Martinville's Mardi Gras! OH I love random pictures , Mardi Gras, and south Louisiana!

My Best Friend is Pregnant & the showers this weekend!

This blog is dedicated to my best friend and college room mate Ashley Nelson O'Connor who is pregnant and due in May! Ashley got married in Nov. 2010 and her and her hubby Josh are expecting there first baby !!! Some exciting things... Ashley will be the best mom EVER she is one of the sweetest people I know! Her heart is HUGE. She is extremely loving and has natural mothering qualities! There baby will be her parents first grandchild! Her sister Nicole will be the BEST AUNTIE ever and we know all of her family and Josh's will just spoil that little bundle of joy. The baby shower is this weekend and although I"m not a huge fan of baby showers I wouldn't miss this one for the world! I have made some goodies which I will share after the shower with you all! I'm extremely excited because the last time I saw Ashley was before she was pregnant last fall! I can wait to hug her and rub that belly! Some sad news well sad for me ...Josh and Ashley have decided not to find out the sex of the baby which has made our baby shower planning a bit different however we are doing a Noah's ark theme and I'm just sure it will all be wonderful!! The shower is Saturday and I'm just so excited ! I miss my old roommates and my best friends!

I can't wait to see you Ashley and Nicole! I love ya'll!!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Sorry it has been a few days and that's unlike me but I've been super busy THE LOVE OF MY LIFE finally made it home from Africa and I've been trying to soak up all the time I can since we do not know when he might have to go back! Well today is Valentine's Day..... I'm not overly excited about the day I'm just excited that this year finally on this day my man is home. Since we have been together every year he has been offshore on Valentine's Day and he always manages to make it super special for me but there is something about being able to kiss and hug him on this special day.

On a different note ... I did my online research to see something special we could do together but I learned that every bit of advice and romantic ideas anyone listed are things that we do everyday or on a regular basis. Which made me feel good knowing we do all this romantic stuff all the time but it also limits our surprises for each other! Still I have a few tricks up my sleeve!

However if you are reading this and you are alone know that you are still loved and its better to be with the right person than to just be with someone not to be single.

Hello!!

So Today I choose to do a more Natural look with my Urban Decay Roller Girl Pallet!

I opted for a more natural day look! I love to pair browns with Navy Blue and I wore Navy Blue today and felt the browns were fitting!

Also for   those of you who  

may not know this people with Blue eyes when they were Brown makeup it really makes there eyes pop!

 Not so much in the pictures but in person!

What I did was a lighter color under eye brow, I put a different shade of brown all over lit and went back with dark brown in the crease!

SAD SAD Day yesterday but things are looking up!

Well my day yesterday started off so good with WONDERFUL news of my boyfriend coming home from Africa. Throughout the day I was filled with excitement and joy however by early afternoon I got the message that there flight was cancelled and he would not be leaving until today. The problem with this is it will take at least 1 day for him to make it back to Louisiana. So even if he leaves today he won't make it home until tomorrow which is what makes me sad. However just the idea of him coming home makes me happy so I"m trying to stay positive. I know he might have to go back soon but this might end up being the longest we have seen each other since Thanksgiving which is simply depressing. So trying to focus on all the PROS !

Hes coming home from Africia!!!!!!!

Well for those of you who know me or for those of you who read my blog.... might have saw that my boyfriend the love of my life was sent to Africa a few weeks back and I was having a real hard time with him being away! Well I just got word he is en route home!!! I'm so excited! We have only seen each other about 1 week since Thanksgiving! A few days here a few hours there so I'm EXCITED beyond words right now! I just hope flights and customs go well! He did say he will have to go back but right now that isn't important hes coming home!!!!!!

Well for those of you who don't know this is one of my little boys. This is Vegas ! He is my sweet  little boy ! He is a miniature Schnauzer. I do have another little boy named Bentley which I will post some pictures however he is black and he doesn't take pictures as well as Vegas! When I'm in the kitchen Vegas likes to lean over the couch and when I speak to him he turns his head and I just love it! Vegas was named after the city of Vegas which I absolutely LOVE ! How can you not love that face?

This picture is of my new nail polish I bought it is Sally Hansen's speed finish in Grape Going! It s purple and blue iridescent color and its beautiful! I love fast drying polish I seem to mess up the other ones due yo my lack of patience and I try to multitask to much! I choose purple in honor of MARDI GRAS!

Finally this picture is the David Beckham commercial that played during the super bowl which was quiet easy on the eyes! It was an H & M commerial and after I watched the super bowl I saw it on my Instagram and felt like a picture needed to be taken and shared! Plus had to send it to my little sister who was napping during the game! :) She needed to see what she was missing!

Fun Friday Makeup!

So I felt inspired after being complimented yesterday about my makeup at Zumba ( makeup was on from work.) So I wanted to do FUN FRIDAY makeup and wanted to share with you! So even though I have absolutely no green on today I really wanted to wear a new color I had bought from NYX in December that I have not gotten to wear so naturally I put on Black my go to color to wear and created my FUN FRIDAY look which you can see in the pictures above! So I used Star eyeshadow by NYX on the upper eyelid under the eyebrow bone. I used NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk as a base for the green. I used NYX wild fire which is the green color ( isn't it so much fun!) I also used NYX Black Matte for the crease. I used a NYX black eyeliner. The color Wild Fire is a bit extreme however I adore it. I love bold colors especially when it comes to makeup I feel it give you a glimpse into my personality before you know me because I'm BOLD! So Thanks to my Zumba friends for the compliments and for the Fun Friday inspired makeup! I hope I inspire you !

Zumba!!!

 For those who don't know I recently started taking a Zumba class at Oasis Bellydance Studio in Lafayette. I think it ROCKS! I have the DVDs but I much prefer going to a class. My teacher takes current music and some zumba music and we do Zumba it is awesome! Especially because when I hear the songs on the radio i automatically want to get up and ZUMBA! So if anyone every considered ZUMBA do it... I smile the whole time and my favorite part which is so true with dance it doesn't matter if you are good or bad just keep moving!

I dont care if I have to wakeup early my makeups gonna be AWESOME!

I don't care if I have to wake up early my makeups gonna be AWESOME! The reason I choose to write yet again about makeup is simple I freaking love it! However on a different note as I was taking pictures this morning for my instragram application and this fabulous blog you are reading I thought this is really funny I wake up early to do my makeup and get dressed cute however 90% of the time as of right now I'm in the office alone. Which leads me to other thoughts .... I do my makeup for myself and no one else! There is just something about my makeup looking amazing that totally brightens my day! I feel happier, prettier, and in a much better mood once my war paint is on! ( not really how i feel about makeup just thought it was funny). Its the simple things in life that make me smile and makeup is one. The makeup I used today was Arbonne www.arbonne.com. you have to order Arbonne through a rep which I am in case anyone ever wants anything. I use there makeup for my foundation and I do have a lot of eye shadowsfrom them however they are limited in the fun colored eye shadows so I am limited to eyeshadow colors that I buy. What I love about Arbonne is they are 100% naturally they do not use any product or bi-products of animals everything is natural and good for your skin. I used nyx jumbo pencil in Milk under the red to really make the pigment bright. I also used a light shimmery yellow for top of eye under the brow bone. The crease is a chocolate brown with a black on top to make it real dark.  Eyeliner is Arbonne's Ebony and I also put some of the Red eyeshadow by the bottom eyeliner  you can't really see in picture but super fun. Hope my makeup made you as happy as it made me !
